US government caught in fake vaccination program harvesting DNA from civilians to target terrorists

An investigation by The Guardian reveals that CIA agents organized a fake vaccination scheme to harvest DNA from innocent civilians as part of a secret intelligence operation. The scheme was carried out in the town of Abbottabad, where Bin Laden's family was believed to be hiding. And the purpose of the vaccination scheme was to acquire the DNA of Bin Laden family members in order to identify where Bin Laden was hiding (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/201...).  Read more...

Africa's longest civil war gives birth to South Sudan, a country about the size of France that has broken away from its bitter antagonist to the north. Heads of state gather for a euphoric celebration in the fledgling capital of Juba, but poverty, corruption and questions about its leadership already plague the new nation.

The historic events happening in the African nation of Sudan exemplify the Church's unique giftedness. Although it is possible for war to break out again in this country, we can still be proud of the Church's efforts to help Southern Sudan achieve independence. But such accomplishments are nothing new for the Church. The Church played an even greater role in the building of Western Civilization. Perhaps we can see the true Church for ourselves if we take a brief look at these two remarkable examples.

    CIA Building Secret Mideast Base to Launch Drone Attacks in Yemen

    The CIA is building a secret air base in the Middle East to serve as a launching pad for armed drones to strike Yemen. Since December 2009, U.S. strikes in Yemen have been carried out by the U.S. military with intelligence support from the CIA. Now, the spy agency is preparing to carry out drone strikes itself alongside the military campaign. The Wall Street Journal reports the CIA, in coordination with Saudi Arabia, has been ramping up its intelligence gathering efforts in Yemen in recent months to support a sustained drone campaign. We speak with Gregory Johnsen, a former Fulbright Fellow in Yemen and now a graduate student in Near Eastern studies at Princeton University.  Read more...
